Tuesday Apple Rumors: Carl Icahn is Still Predicting an Apple TV Set

Cook’s comments regarding the release of the Watch to retail locations were made while he was visiting with employees in China. He said that the company expects to have the device ready for its retail launch by June and that it will include multiple countries. Apple has only allowed customers to order their Watches online since it was released in late April.

Update: The first software update for the Apple Watch has been released, 9to5Mac notes. This updates is called Watch OS 1.0.1 and is available for download via the Watch app on iPhone. This update includes bug fixes and some performance increases. Some notable performance increases to features include Siri, third-party apps and workout apps. It takes up a total of 51.6 MB and also adds support for new emoji.

TV: Investor Carl Icahn still believes that an Apple TV is being worked on, reports AppleInsider. Recent rumors have claimed that Apple decided to scrap plans for a 4K TV set. However, Icahn claims that these rumors are “ridiculous” and that the company is still working on a TV. An open letter to Tim Cook suggests that Icahn expects to see the launch of the TV sometime next year. It also claims that the company will release its own car in 2020.
