Bumblebees are being killed off by climate change, according to a study.
Scientists say that wild bumblebee species are endangered in North America and Europe due to climate change. It may be up to humans to help the animals find safe havens if they are to survive.
The research was published in this week’s issue of the journal Science, which looks at more than 423,000 archived observations of 67 bee species, going back to 1901.
Many bumblebees are moving north and to escape rising temperatures. Bees in mountainous regions made a similar migration, moving to higher elevations to survive.
