The New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) data displays met a “cosmetic problem” on Thursday.
Many screens were showing NYSE logos instead of quotes and other information they typically show. Customers were notified of the issue.
The issue originated from a New Jersey data center was hit with a failed chilled water pipe, interrupting service to a small number of clients.
“We are communicating proactively with affected clients and the contractor to ensure services are resumed as quickly as possible,” a statement issued by the New Jersey facility said..
The problem didn’t seem to affect trading.
