Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli has shelled out $2 million for a Wu-Tang Clan album.
Shkreli — best-known for being the man who raised the price of HIV medication Daraprim by 5000% — ha been revealed as the buyer of the only copy of the new Wu-Tang Clan album “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin.”
The pharma exec was the highest bidder for the 31-track album. “If there is a curious gap in your favorite artist’s discography, well, now you know why,” Shkreli posted on Twitter.
Shkreli has admitted to being a fan of the Wu-Tang Clan song C.R.E.A.M., which stands for
“Cash Rules Everything Around Me.”
