Netflix secret codes (NASDAQ:NFLX) are a new way of finding the right movie or TV show for you.

There are plenty of genres on the online streaming site that are very specific, including “Movies for Ages 8 to 10” and “Classic Dark Dramas Based on Real Life.”

If you have the ID codes for these subgenres, you can put them onto your Netflix url when using the service on the web and the rest is simple.

Netflix is not revealing the ID codes–it prefers to use your viewing history to recommend movies and TV series to you.
