Bumble Bee Foods, LLC Tuna Recall: Toss These Cans!

Bumble Bee Foods, LLC has announced a recall of its Bumble Bee Tuna products.

The recall affects 31,579 cases of Bumble Bee Tuna products that may have been contaminated with spoilage organisms and pathogens. This can result in serious illnesses if consumed, but there haven’t been any reported illnesses yet.

The affected products were made in February and have a can code that starts with the letter “T”. Here is a list of the affected products:

  • 5oz Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Water — These cans have a UPC of 8660000020 and Best By dates of 02/10/2019, 02/16/2019, 02/17/2019, 02/18/2019,
    02/22/2019, 02/23/2019, 02/25/2019.
  • 5oz Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Oil — These cans have a UPC of 8660000021 and a Best By date of 02/23/2019.
  • 4 Pack of 5oz Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Water — These cases have a UPC of 8660000736 and Best By dates of 02/9/2019, 02/10/2019, 02/22/2019, 02/29/2019.

Customers that have purchased any of the products affected by the Bumble Bee Tuna recall are advised to throw them away. Those interested in more information or refunds can contact the company at (888) 820-1947.
