Google Chirp (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) is the name of the next big thing from the tech giant.
The company is developing a speaker with a voice assistant in a bid to rival Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and the online retailer’s popular Echo.
The release date of the Google Chirp has yet to be announced, but it will likely be released later this year.
The Amazon Echo has already sold more than 3 million units.
GOOG stock and GOOGL stock are each up 0.1% Thursday. AMZN stock is up 0.8%.
