No Man’s Sky has finally been released for PC.

No Man's Sky

Following three years of hype, studio Hello Games released the space exploration game, and there’s plenty to talk about with this one. Here are seven things to know about the game:

  • The game has a straightforward promise–you drive a spaceship through millions of planets, exploring a variety of planets with different terrains and atmospheres.
  • Most gamers agree that No Man’s Sky is a technical masterpiece, highlighted by the ability to blast off into space, zoom into space, and seamless landing with no apparent loading.
  • You don’t have a lot of stuff in this game–you have a computer that guides you through space, along with a few other items. For the most part, you have to gather the necessary attire and weapons for each world, and there is a certain degree of risk involved with doing so.
  • Traveling from location to location is a gripping experience that thrusts you into the game, revealing a variety of elements that make space exploration a beautiful thing–from aliens, to glowing caves, and even lost ruins, the possibilities seem endless.
  • The Hello Games title offers a variety of settings, allowing you to adjust the quality of the image, of different terrains, of shadows, and more.
  • The game becomes quite repetitive after a while, as there are only so many new computer-generated algorithms that you can discover, much like Minecraft.
  • Nevertheless, No Man’s Sky appeases our human desire to explore new lands, as long as the sights, creatures and elements associated with travel.

The Hello Games offering is powered by Steam gaming engine.
