Super Mario Run: Nintendo chief game designer Shigeru Miyamoto has announced Super Mario Run for iOS devices, reports VentureBeat. The new game was announced at Apple’s Sept. 7 event that is taking place today. It’s a side-scrolling runner game that can be played solo or with friends in the Toad Rally mode. Players will attempt to beat each others’ high-scores in this mode. The game will have a fixed price and will be released in time for the Holiday 2016 season. Several Mario stickers will also be added to iMessage.
Tweet Confirms iPhone 7 Release Date: AAPL announced preorders for the iPhone 7 early on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR), MacRumors notes. The iPhone 7 was confirmed in the Tweet as being available for preorder “now.” However, the Tweet was likely sent out early on accident. It has been deleted, but will likely show up again after the company finishes its event today. The Tweet also listed the official release date for the upcoming iPhone 7 as Sept. 16.
Five Apple Trademarks Discovered: Five different trademarks that are connected to Apple were discovered today, reports AppleInsider. The trademarks were found by a user that was searching through the Brunei registration system. They are for the following marketing terms: A10 Fusion, iSight Duo, Depth, Scribble and Whiteboard. It’s unknown exactly what the company will be using these trademarks for.
