The new trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been released.
The teaser for the video game is just over six minutes long and it is promoting
Knights of the Eternal Throne, which is the new expansion of the popular 2011 title, slated for a December release.
The video follows the story of a woman who’s with her child in nature, laughing and playing. The young girl can use the force, manipulating the laws of gravity to lift pieces of wood.
Her mother trains her to fight as she is unable to properly control the force at the strength she needs to when she grows up. The girl goes through an arduous training where she accidentally ends a life.
She then has to face her own demons in a closed room with hooded people, circling around her while meditating. Her mother then runs in and takes her, escaping the evil forces.
The woman then encounters four lightsaber-wielding warriors that battle her in an attempt to get her daughter. She defeats them, but is later kidnapped and taken from her daughter by Sith forces.
The daughter is left behind, while the mother finds herself in an ominous dungeon with her lightsaber as her only source of light. She battles a man who appears to have defeated her by the end of the Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer.
