Wednesday Apple Rumors: AirPods Will Launch in Coming Weeks

Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of AirPods launch. Today, we’ll look at that and other Apple Rumors for Wednesday.

Apple Rumors, AirPods, Launch, AAPLAirPods Release: Apple CEO Tim Cook is expecting AirPods to launch in the next few weeks, reports MacRumors. This news comes from Cook himself in a response to a customer’s email. The customer was looking for a more specific time when the AirPods would launch. That is when the person got a response directly from the AAPL CEO. Cook said the company is finalizing the products and apologized for the delay.

Boot Camp Update: AAPL has released an update for Boot Camp to fix an issue that was breaking MacBook Pro speakers, AppleInsider notes. The problem with Boot Camp could cause loud pops while running Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows operating system. This could cause damage to the speakers in the MacBook Pro. The issue means that using Boot Camp shouldn’t damage speakers any further, but it doesn’t do anything for those that were already damaged.

Battery Issues: Apple is offering to replace iPhone 6s batteries that are losing charge, reports BGR. There is also a problem with some iPhone models that aren’t displaying the proper amount of charge in a battery. This can cause devices with as much as 30% of charge to shutdown unexpectedly. Most batteries in mobile devices will suffer from reduced charge over time. That’s just how Lithium-ion batteries work. A Lithium-ion battery losses close to 20% of its charge after 400 recharge cycles.
