The Supermoon that will appear this coming week is unlike any other most of you have seen in your lifetime.
The phenomenon will seem to be at its biggest and brightest in its orbit compared to the Earth in 70 years. The full lunar disk will appear to be 14% bigger and 30% brighter, and there are certain ways to ensure that you capture a great photo.
The Supermoon can be viewed from a number of locations from around the world, and it will be at its brightest and fullest Sunday night and Monday morning, depending on where you are located in the U.S.
You can even take a picture from your smartphone, but it’s a wise idea not to use your zoom functionalities as it will detract from the details of the moon. Additionally, don’t go for long exposure on the picture as getting it with low light may be more useful.
Doing it in this manner will make the Supermoon seem less bright, but it will reveal more details of the lunar phenomenon that will make your picture excelt. Additionally, a key component toward getting the ideal picture revolves around where you take it from.
Ideally, you should want to get a picture that has something else as a frame of reference, such as a local landmark, a house or something similar. Doing so will improve the quality of your image.
