Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) is introducing a new holiday drink for customers to enjoy, but only for a shot time.
The new Holiday drink from Starbucks Corporation is the Starbucks Fruitcake Frappuccino. The drink tries to capture the essence of the classic holiday dessert fruitcake. The drink is actually a modification of one of the coffee chain’s other drinks.
To create the Starbucks Fruitcake Frappuccino, Starbucks Corporation baristas start off by making a Hazelnut Crème Frappuccino. The employees then mixes in dried fruit that has been spiced with cinnamon. The barista then tops the drink off with whip cream, caramel dots and a touch of matcha.
The new Starbucks Fruitcake Frappuccino is only available for a short period of time. Sales of the new drink start today, Dec. 15, 2016, and will last through the weekend. The drink will be gone after this. It is available at select stores in the United States and Canada.
Starbucks Corporation will also be celebrating National Ugly Sweater Day tomorrow, Dec. 16. Starbucks Rewards members that purchase a Starbucks Fruitcake Frappuccino tomorrow will receive an ugly sweater beverage cozy with their purchase.
Starbucks Corporation is also offering another ugly Christmas sweater item that customers can buy. This is a pack of Ugly Sweater Cookies. The packages includes six gingerbread cookies that are wearing ugly Christmas sweaters made of frosting. This item will be available for purchase all through the holiday season.
