US News has released its list of the best colleges in the United States for 2018.

US News uses a variety of data to determine where colleges rank on its list. This includes a statistical measures of the colleges, as well as looking at what is important in education. The publication also takes into account for sports, cost, financial aid and other factors when determining a college’s ranking on the list.

Here are US News’ top 10 colleges in the United States for 2018.

  1. Princeton University — Tuition and fees of $47,140.
  2. Harvard University — Tuition and fees of $48,949.
  3. University of Chicago — Ties for #3. Tuition and fees of $54,825.
  4. Yale University — Ties for #3. Tuition and fees of $51,400.
  5. Columbia University — Ties for #5. Tuition and fees of $57,208.
  6. Massachusetts Institute of Technology — Ties for #5. Tuition and fees of $49,892.
  7. Stanford University — Ties for #5. Tuition and fees of $49,617.
  8. University of Pennsylvania — Tuition and fees of $53,534.
  9. Duke University — Tuition and fees of $53,744.
  10. California Institute of Technology — Tuition and fees of $49,908.

 

US News also has a list of the top national liberal arts colleges for 2018 and these are the top 10 from it.

  1. Williams College — Tuition and fees of $53,550.
  2. Amherst College — Tuition and fees of $54,310.
  3. Bowdoin College — Ties for #3. Tuition and fees of  $51,848.
  4. Swarthmore College — Ties for #3. Tuition and fees of $50,822.
  5. Wellesley College — Ties for #3. Tuition and fees of $51,148.
  6. Middlebury College — Ties for #6. Tuition and fees of $52,496.
  7. Pomona College — Ties for #6. Tuition and fees of $51,075.
