There a new Arby’s duck sandwich that’s making the waves due to how unusual of an idea it is.
The idea of duck in a fast food sandwich doesn’t sound too great off the bat, but perhaps Arby’s has pulled off the impossible with its new offering, which is only available in limited quantities in 16 locations across the U.S. The sandwich will be available starting Aug. 20.
The Arby’s offering will be a seared duck breast sandwich that is designed to inspire lovers of the tender meat to try it out as duck hunting seasons begin in many states right about now. The chain said that the sandwich itself will consist of “a premium duck breast, smoked cherry sauce, crispy onions all on a signature Arby’s bun.”
This is not the first time that Arby’s has rolled out an item that honors hunters as the company released a venison sandwich a couple of years ago in select markets across the country in honor of the beginning of hunting season. Plus, the chain also released an elk sandwich in three locations in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana last year as elk hunting is big in these three states.
Arby’s released an image on Twitter that shows a couple of ducks with hats on their heads as a teaser.
