Caring.com has released its list of the best places to live for seniors in the U.S. and InvestorPlace is looking at the top five from that list.

The list from Caring.com takes into account for several different factors to determine how good of a location it is for seniors to live. These factors include quality of life, living expenses, quality of healthcare and the quality of senior care in the areas.

Best Places to Live for Seniors #5 — Nebraska

Nebraska offers a solid quality of life and healthcare for seniors. However, its high cost of living kept it from climbing higher on this list.
Best Places to Live for Seniors #4– Washington

Washington is an expensive state to live in, but that does have its benefits. When it comes to quality of life and healthcare, it took the top spot on Caring.com’s list.
Best Places to Live for Seniors #3– South Carolina

South Carolina made it this high on the list due to its low cost of living. Seniors can expects to spend $36,000 a year on assisted living, which is $8,000 below the national median.
Best Places to Live for Seniors #2– Iowa

Iowa’s cost of living may not be as low as the number one state on this list, but it does have other benefits. This includes a high-ranking quality of life and good healthcare.
Best Places to Live for Seniors #1 — Utah

Utah offers a low cost of living, high quality healthcare and high quality of life, which has it taking the top spot on this list.
