The Angry Birds franchise is the most successful set of apps at Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store.
The franchise has four of the top 25 spots on the list of most downloaded paid apps, The Wall Street Journal reports.
The majority of the apps on the list are games of one sort of another. Disney‘s (NYSE:DIS) Where’s My Water and Zynga‘s (NASDAQ:ZNGA) Words With Friends made the list, as did Popcap‘s popular Plants vs Zombies.
Apple released the list this week as part of the celebration surrounding the 50 billionth download from the App Store. In a release, Apple says it now has over 850,000 apps available and has paid its app developers more than $9 billion.
