Irritated by delivery delays, one Chinese customer took out his frustration on his brand new Tesla Motors (TSLA) Model S shortly after taking possession of the luxury electric car.

Entrepreneur Yu Xinquan vented his rage by smashing the TSLA car’s windshield with a wrench. Video of the incident has been posted on social media platforms. Yu ordered the car in October shelling out a downpayment of 250,000 yuan, the Wall Street Journal noted.
TSLA CEO Elon Musk met with annoyed Chinese buyers in late April and promised that their cars would be ready within weeks. Yu’s Model S was also subject to additional delays after Chinese customers officials briefly seized the car over a paperwork discrepancy.
Yu says that TSLA failed to warn him of delivery delays to Chinese customers when he ordered the Model S, which cost about one million yuan (about $173,600).
“It’s a protest against the company,” Yu explained after smashing the TSLA car’s windshield. “Tesla’s arrogance made me angry.”
TSLA stock gained about 1% in Friday morning trading.
