Netflix (NFLX) has decided to postpone its Bill Cosby special following rape allegations against the actor.

netflix-bill-cosby-nflxNetflix announced that it was postponing the Bill Cosby special on Tuesday. The special was set to appear on Nov. 28 and would’ve celebrated the comedians 77th birthday. The streaming service had been promoting the comedy special prior to the announcement that it would postpone it, reports The New York Times.

The most recent rape allegation against Bill Cosby was made on Tuesday by Janice Dickinson,a  former model, while on Entertainment Tonight. Dickinson claims that the comedian took her to Lake Tahoe to drug and rape her decades ago. Cosby’s lawyer has claimed that this allegation is “outrageous and defamatory lie,” NYT notes.

It’s possible that Netflix may still decide to release its Billy Cosby special at a later time. The streaming service could be waiting to see how the allegations against Cosby pan out before releasing the special. It could also slip it onto its service at a later date without telling users, reports The Washington Post.
