Sony (SNE) announced that the PlayStation 4 will be released in China next month.

The PS4 will cost 2,899 yuan, approximately $468. Sony is also launching the PlayStation Vita in China for 1,299 yuan, about $210.
Console gaming was banned in China for almost 15 years due to a government fear that video games would be detrimental to children’s health. The Asian nation has finally changed its mind.
Sony has sold more than 16 million PlayStation 4 units since its November 2013 release. Starting this month, the company will package 200,000 consoles on a yearly basis.
SNE stock is down 0.24% Thursday.
