Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) has announced that its expanding its college tuition reimbursement program to four years.

The Starbucks college tuition reimbursement program allows part-time and full-time employees with the company to attend Arizona State University online for a discounted price. The program previously only covered the junior and senior years of the employees education.
The Starbucks college tuition reimbursement program requires that employees pay for their current semesters up front. After the semester is finished, the company reimburses the employees for the money they spent.
“The unfortunate reality is that too many Americans can no longer afford a college degree, particularly disadvantaged young people, and others are saddled with burdensome education debt,” Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said in a statement. “By giving our partners access to four years of full tuition coverage, we will provide them a critical tool for lifelong opportunity.”
