Justin Wilson, an IndyCar driver, passed away at the age of 37 on Monday.
Justin Wilson was racing at Pocono Raceway on Sunday when he was hit in the head from debris off of another car. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Health Network Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pa., and fell into a coma before passing away on Monday, reports USA Today.
Justin Wilson knew the risks associated with IndyCar racing, but said they were worth it to him. However, he also spoke in the past about the need for more safety during races. Wilson was an organ donor and his passing has resulted in six lives being saved due to his donations, the Associated Press notes.
