The GoGo Squeez recall was voluntarily made and it includes pouches with “Best Before Dates” ranging from June 30, 2016 and July 26, 2016. The affected products were produced in the United States. The recall doesn’t affect any of the company’s other products.
While some customers may come across pouches that are part of the GoGo Squeez recall, the company has said that it was able to call back many of the affected products before they reached store shelves. The company notes that this recall means that it may become harder to find its products on store shelves for the next few weeks.
Lab tests of the mold that was found in the pouches affected by the GoGo Squeez recall was found to be the same that can appear on fruits naturally. The mold in the pouches isn’t dangerous, but it can affect the taste of the product.
