Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is rolling out live video streaming across all its users.
The social media site first tested the capability back in December to a few users. The Live Stream button is hard to find, located under the status icon.
After clicking it, you will get a floating message above the icon that reads “NEw! Record and share live video.”
Once you select the icon you give Facebook permission to access your camera and microphone. You only have to do this once.
The “Continue” button wil be followed by asking you to describe your broadcast. It’s on this same screen that you choose your privacy setting: Are you sharing this with the public, or just your friends?
You can shoot the video through your FaceTime or rear-facing camera and while holding your phone in portrait or landscape mode, but the video will always be square.
FB stock is up 2.65% Friday.
