Chick-Fil-A, Inc. is offering free ice cream to customers if they can stay away from their cell phones during a meal.
The Chick-Fil-A challenge requires customers to keep their cell phones inside of a cardboard box called the “coop” for the duration of their meals. If families are able to complete the challenge, then they are given free small ice cream cone.
The idea behind the Chick-Fil-A cell phone challenge was presented by one store owner as an idea to bring families closer together during meal times. It expanded from there and has been added to more of the restaurant chain’s locations.
The Chick-Fil-A challenge is currently only available at roughly 150 of the chain’s locations. Customers can ask about the cell phone coop at local restaurants to see if they’re participating in the challenge.
