Honda Civic Type RThe Honda Civic Type R (NYSE:HMC) is an upcoming vehicle that could be the next big thing in racing.

The car’s prototype will be unveiled and advertised at the U.S. at the Specialty Equipment Market Show in Las Vegas this November. Images of the sleek, new automotive creation have been released and it looks like it has plenty to offer.

Car owners stateside have been waiting a while for an American Type R, and the Honda Civic Type R will be here in a few months. The vehicle was presented at the Paris Motor Show, where little was learned about it.

It is a blacked-out piece of craftsmanship with fat tires that are 20-inches long, along with a fender-flared, red-accented visage. The prototype is likely to be similar to the final version of it.

The key details of the Honda Civic Type R have yet to be announced, including what kind of engine it is equipped with, how much horsepower it produces, how fast it can go from 0-60, and more.

“We promised the most ambitious, sportiest Civic lineup ever and we’re delivering on that promise with each new Civic,” said Jeff Conrad, general manager of the Honda division of American Honda.

Other companies that have been at the forefront of automotive innovation in recent weeks include Porsche, which will be launching a Panamera Station Wagon soon.

HMC stock is up 0.6%.
