Thursday’s Biggest Stock Losers: SOL, WTSL, and More

In early trading Thursday, Renesola (SOL) and Wet Seal Inc (WTSL) were among the stocks that were the biggest stock losers. SOL stock and WTSL stock weren’t the only ones that suffered though.

Here are the other stock losers that started out having a very bad day, with mostly bearish trading volume of over 1 million.

Biggest Stock Losers

Renesola Ltd (SOL, -20%): SOL stock took a tumble in early Tuesday trading. The stock drop left SOL still up 135% year to date — giving it a cushion despite its poor earnings report.

Wet Seal (WTSL, -15%):  WTSL stock suffered loses after the company reported a weak earnings report and an even weaker outlook for the next quarter. Investors were shaken, and the stock appears to not have suffered its final fallout.

Francesca’s Holdings Corporation (FRAN, -11%): FRAN stock looks to have an uneasy short-term future with an investigation into stockholder practices and a lawsuit that is shaking the stock. At the moment, the stock seems poised to sink further, adding to a dismal showing that left the stock down nearly 47% in the past six months.

Precision Drilling Corp (PDS, -9%): PDS stock fell some 9.5% in early Thursday trading — with the stock still up just 5% year to date.

Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc (TC, -9%):  TC stock is doing poorly as Thompson Creek appears to be running out of cash. Investors are worried, and the stock is suffering.
