Prototype: What is claimed to be a prototype of the iPhone 6 has been listed on eBay (EBAY), reports MacRumors. The possible iPhone 6 prototype was listed on eBay last week by a user named kimberlyk1018. This user claims that they were sent an iPhone 6 prototype by mistake and decided to auction it off. The user’s story can’t be confirmed, but they have posted several images of what appears to be a prototype version of Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 6. Bids for the possible prototype were up to $100,000 as of Monday afternoon.
Sapphire: GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT), a company that provides Apple with sapphire glass, filed for bankruptcy on Monday, AppleInisder notes. The company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and its stock dropped over 90% following the news. It had won a $578 million multi-year contract with Apple in November 2013 to supply the tech company with sapphire glass for its devices. The tech company used the sapphire on TouchID covers and is expected to use it on parts of the upcoming Apple Watch.
iPad: A new report claims to have insider information concerning Apple’s upcoming iPad Air 2, reports BGR. The report claims to have pictures of the upcoming devices and also says that they have already entered mass production. If the report is true, then it means that the pictures included with it should be what the device looks like if it’s revealed at Apple’s rumored press event later this month. The report also claims that the new devices will have a fully-laminated screen and that they will be thinner than the current generation of the iPad Air. The report also states that the Retina iPad mini will be showed off at the event.
