This update has Staples accepting Apple Pay at its 1,400 stores located in the U.S. The service will allow iPhone 6 and 6 Plus owners to make purchases with the retailer through the Pay app. The retailer allows these devices and the iPad Air 2 and mini 3 to make purchases via Pay online, reports AppAdvice.

Staples has been listed as one of the retailers that would accept Apple Pay later this year. Other retailers are expected to join the lineup of Pay supporters and support for the Apple Watch will be added when it’s released, AppleInsider notes.

Support for Apple Pay on Staples mobile app has been around since October 20. The feature was added into the app as part of an update that saw several changes be made to it. The app is free to download from the App Store.

SPLS shares were up slightly as of Thursday afternoon and AAPL shares were up 1%.
