Friday Apple Rumors: Foxconn Robots Don’t Meet Apple Standards

The Foxconn robots have been given simple task that have them working on larger pieces of the smartphones. However, it would seem that the robots aren’t accurate enough for Apple’s standards. The robots have show precision measuring at 0.05 mm. The tech company’s standards require a precision of  0.02 mm. The lack of precision is likely due to the bulky nature of the robots.

Hiring: Apple has started hiring employees for its new store in Brussels, Belgium, 9to5Mac notes. The opening of the Apple Store in Brussels will mark the first retail location that the tech company has in Belgium. The company has still been doing business in the country before this, but all of its products were sold via its online store or resellers. There are currently six job openings at the upcoming store, which is expected to open sometime in 2015.

Campus: Details regarding the costs for some of the facilities in Apple’s Campus 2 have been revealed, reports AppleInisder. Campus 2 will include a theater that will be 120,000 square feet and costs $160,999,985 to create. The theater will be located underground and can seat 1,000 people. Another facility included in Campus 2 is a gym. The gym will costs $74 million and will take up 100,000 square feet. The company expects to move into the facility in 2016.
