The iOS 8.2 beta can be downloaded by developers over the air or via the iOS Developer Center.

Apps: Apple and International Business Machines (IBM) have shown of their new iOS apps, AppleInsider notes. The new apps revealed by the two tech companies are part of IBM’s MobileFirst. The new apps include ones focused on banking, financial services, retail and more. The apps are specifically available to businesses and are exclusive to iOS devices. They include cloud storage and customization options.

Patent: Apple has been awarded a patent for motion-sensing technology, reports 9to5Mac. The patent is for a system that would allow users to control their devices without touching it. The system would use a 3D user interface that would sense motions around it that could tell it to perform certain tasks. The patent filed by Apple was first noticed back in early 2012. It’s unknown if the technology in this patent will actually make it to any of the company’s devices.
