apple-rumors-ios-9-test-aaplBeta: Apple (AAPL) has released a new beta for iOS 8.1.3 to select employees at its stores, reports MacRumors. The new beta is the first one beyond the initial beta release that the employees have seen. The release of the beta to retail employees means that the company is likely preparing to open it to the public in the coming weeks. It’s unknown exactly when iOS 81.3 will be coming out.

Swift: Apple’s Swift programming language is becoming more popular with developers, AppleInsider notes. In the last two quarters, Swift has climbed 46 ranks in popularity with developers. This has it taking the 22nd spot for most-popular programming language. In comparison, programming languages typically only ever rise by five or 10 spots at a time. This makes the Swift jump of 46 spots a big deal.

iOS9: A new rumor claims that Apple is already starting to test iOS 9, reports BGR. According to the rumor, the company is already testing the mobile operating system out on several devices, which includes the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Fiksu, an app marketing platform, has backed up the rumor and says it’s seen at least 145 different devices running iOS 9 since the start of 2015. The platform notes that iOS 9 devices have been popping up all around the world with the majority of the reports coming from iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones.
