Pest control company Orkin has compiled a list of the worst cities for bed bugs in the US.

The selection is determined by the number of bed bug treatments that occurred between January and December 2014. Chicago tops the list for the third year in a row.

“They’re great hitchhikers, and people often bring them inside on their clothes or in their luggage,” said Orkin entomologist Ron Harrison. Bed bug revenue is up 18% in 2014 compared to the previous year.

Here are the 10 worst cities for bed bugs:

• Chicago, Illinois
• Detroit, Michigan
• Columbus, Ohio
• Los Angeles, California
• Cleveland – Akron – Canton, Ohio
• Dallas – Ft. Worth, Texas
• Cincinnati, Ohio
• Denver, Colorado
• Richmond – Petersburg, Virginia
• Dayton, Ohio
