Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) has launched new features to make buying and selling on its website easier.
Facebook’s For Sale Groups, which act as a virtual classifieds section, allows users to sell items to each other. The new features added to these groups allow users to set prices, pick up/drop off locations and a quick description of the item.
Users of the Facebook classifieds can also easily adjust the status of an item. This allows sellers to alert other users of when the item has been sold. The new feature also includes an “Available” status and other users can look through their current and past items in a catalog.
The company also said that the Facebook classifieds would be getting more features in the coming months. It didn’t give any hints as to what they were, but said admins of For Sale Groups can nominate their groups to try them out.
