The app also reportedly includes parental controls that include a timer for how long it can be used, reports PC Magazine.

The YouTube Kids app will include content from Jim Henson TV, National Geographic Kids, Reading Rainbow and more. The service will split videos up into Shows, Music, Learning, and Explore categories. It will also allow children to search for content with keywords, PC Magazine notes.

Part of the YouTube Kids app’s efforts to keep a child-friendly environment includes not allowing users to use profanity in searches. If a child types one of these words in by accident, the app will simply ask them to “Try Again”, reports USA Today.
