Bloomberg reported on the delayed iPad Pro production and cites anonymous sources with insider information. These sources claim that the new Apple devices were expected to go into production this quarter, but that it had to be delayed due to a shortage of display panels. The delay comes as iPad sales have been dropping.

Other rumors regarding Apple’s iPad Pro include it coming with USB 3.0 ports. Neither the iPad or iPad mini come with USB ports, but the addition could allow for quick transfer of data between the mobile device and a computer. It’s also rumored that the iPad Pro will allow users to connect a mouse and keyboard to it, The Wall Street Journal notes.

Many of the rumor surrounding the iPad Pro involve it having major changes over previous devices in the line. This is likely due to declining sales for the tablets and could signal that Apple CEO Tim Cook is looking to give the device a major refresh, Bloomberg notes.
