Google Fiber has announced that it’s increasing the price of its cable by $10. The company’s high-speed internet is required for the cable and this brings the total monthly cost for the service to $130. However, the price for just the internet is still only $70, reports OregonLive.com.

Google Fiber claims that the increased cable prices are the result of more expensive programming and hardware improvements. The basic service includes 150 HD channels and the internet includes speeds of 1GB per second. Only new customers will have to pay the increased prices, OregonLive.com, notes.

Kansas City isn’t the only place where Google Fiber’s cable service cost $130. Subscribers in Austin, Texas are also paying this much for the service. Those living in Provo, Utah are still only paying $120 a month for the service, reports Time.
