Friday Apple Rumors: CarPlay Comes to Five More Countries

apple-rumors-carplay-aaplPay: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) is planning to launch its Pay service in Canada later this year, reports MacRumors. Pay is currently scheduled to launch in Canada in November. According to reports, the tech company is currently in talks with six financial institutions about bringing the service to the country. These institutions include the Royal Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal, CIBC and National Bank of Canada. These banks are looking to increase security through the service before its launch.

Watch: What appear to be unreleased Apple Watch products have shown up online, AppleInsider notes. These products include a folding wall charger and a red Sport band. Images of the products were posted online by former rugby player Will Carling. Carling claims the wall charger was given to him by company designer Jony Ive. It’s also possible that this is where Carling got the red Sport band from.

CarPlay: Apple has expanded its CarPlay support to new countries, reports 9to5Mac. The new countries that have access to CarPlay include Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, and Sweden. This brings the total amount of countries that the service is available in to 25. The newest countries to get CarPlay support do not have access to the company’s Maps service.
