Tuesday Apple Rumors: First iOS 8.4 Beta is Available to Developers

The WWDC will start on June 8 and will last through June 12. It will be held at the Moscone West Center in San Francisco, Calif. Developers are able to sign up to attend the WWDC 2015 via its official website. Applications start today and last until April 17. Those that sign up will know if they can attend by April 20.

ResearchKit: Apple has made ResearchKit available to medical researchers. Medical researchers can use ResearchKit to develop apps for use. These apps can be created with the initial modules include din the tool and it also allows for developers to submit additional modules for use. The tool’s three starting modules include participant consent, surveys and active tasks. Each of these modules are designed to help medical researchers complete and track studies.

Beta: Apple has released the first iOS 8.4 beta to developers, reports AppleInsider. This new iOS 8.4 beta can be downloaded through the company’s Developer Portal. Included in the beta is a new Music app. This app includes a Global Search feature and a MiniPlayer. The MiniPlayer allows users to control playback while navigating the app’s library of music. The Now Playing screen has also been redesigned to make it easier to use. The Music app also allows users to customize playlists by adding images and descriptions to them.
