apple-rumors-new-ipod-touch-aaplStore: The Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Watch App Store was launched today, reports 9to5Mac. The store is designed to house iPhone apps that have Watch extensions built into them. Prior to today’s update, the Store has displayed a “Coming Soon” screen. The Watch App Store currently houses over 3,000 apps that will work with the wearable tech. Many customers that bought the Watch are supposed to be getting them tomorrow. The store currently has News, Fitness and Health apps featured on it.

Watch: An Apple Watch developer has revealed that the device uses most of iOS 8.2, AppleInsider notes. According to developer Steve Troughton-Smith, the device uses a subsystem call “Carousel” that allows it to take advantage of most of iOS 8.2. This developer also noted that the smartwatch is equipped with a PowerVR SGX543 driver in its firmware. This is the same driver used in the A5 chip, which means a similar chip could be powering the Watch. The A5 chip first appeared in 2011 inside the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

iPod: A new rumor claims that Apple will be releasing a new iPod Touch later this year, reports MacRumors. The rumor comes from what are claimed to be insider sources. According to these sources, the tech company may release an iPod Touch this year that has an improved camera and processor over the last version released. However, these sources also claim that the new device could keep a similar design style to the current generation of the iPod Touch. It’s also possible that this new device would house an A7 processor, more storage space and a FaceTime camera.
