Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) is releasing an update that will affect search results.
The move is an algorithm change to Google searches that will make mobile-friendly websites more prominent in the search engine’s results.
The website has a tool that checks whether or not a page is mobile-friendly. The algorithm is run in real-time.
Google is launching the update — dubbed “Mobilegeddon” — tomorrow, April 21.
GOOG stock is up 2.2% Monday. GOOGL stock is up 2.4%.
