LUV: Southwest Airlines CEO Gets a Pay Hike

The Southwest Airlines (LUV) CEO earned a pay raise in 2014 following the company’s impressive year.

Southwest AirlinesGary Kelly made a total of about $5 million last year, a 24% increase from the previous year. The airline posted record net income of $1.14 billion.

Kelly’s base salary was $675,000 and about $3 million in stock awards. He made an additional $904,770 in incentives, a $224,775 bonus, $174,793 in other compensation and $23,561 in above-market earnings on deferred compensation.

The 60-year-old has been Southwest CEO since 2004.

LUV stock is down 4.1% Monday.
