apple-rumors-home-app-homekit-aapliMac: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has reportedly upgraded some iMac customers to the new iMac Retina 5K for free, reports 9to5Mac. A Reddit user claims that they were given a free upgrade to the 27-inch iMac Retina 5K while waiting for their normal iMac to ship. The two computers cost the same amount of money and the newer version has a stronger processor. One difference notable between the two is the video cards they come equipped with. The normal iMac is carrying a NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) GeForce GTX 780M and the Retina 5K has an Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD) Radeon R9 M290X. These graphics cards put out similar power.

Shipments: Apple may end up only shipping 15 million Watches by the end of September, AppleInsider notes. The unit prediction for Watch shipments comes from analysts Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo claims that the tech company will sort out issues and start increasing shipments of the smartwatch near the end of this month. However, he also claims that demand for the device has decreased since it was released in April. Kuo has a fairly accurate track record when it comes to Apple products.

Home: A new rumor claims that Apple will introduce a new “Home” app in iOS 9, reports MacRumors. According to the rumor, the tech company’s Home app will be used to control and discover devices that are connected to its HomeKit system. This rumor also claims that the new Apple TV will operate as a hub for the system of wireless devices.  It’s possible that the app will show up at the WWDC, which is when iOS 9 is expected to be announced.
