Toyota (TM) has released a new Back to the Future themed ad that stars the Toyota Mirai.
The ad has Christopher Lloyd and Micheal J. Fox learning about the Toyota Mirai and is filled with nods to Back to the Future. The full ad shows the two actors how the new car from Toyota is powered by hydrogen from waste and is compared to the Mr. Fusion equipped to the DeLorean the films.
Other Back to the Future references that can be seen in the Toyota Mirai ad include a Toyota pickup truck similar to the one in the films, various locations from the movie, Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News and more. The ad even ends with Christopher Lloyd saying “Great Scott!”
For those that are unaware, today, October 21, 2015, is Back to the Future day. It’s the day in the second film that Micheal J. Fox comes to the future as Marty McFly.
