How Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ Lottery Will Work

Disney (DIS) is setting up a lottery for tickets to its The Lion King Broadway show at Minskoff Theatre.

disney stock disThose that are interested in taking part in The Lion King lottery can submit a single application. Multiple submissions to the lottery will result in disqualification. Winners of the Disney lottery will be given the chance to buy two tickets to the show for $30 a piece. Winners will need a form of government ID to pick up their tickets, reports Playbill.com.

The Lion King lottery starts at 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 16, the day before the first performance, and will be open until 9:00 a.m. the next day. Those that enter will be notified if they win minutes after the poll finishes and will have 60 minutes to purchase their tickets. A new lottery will start for the next showing after the current Disney performance has started, Playbill.com notes.

The Lion King musical has been running for 18 years now and has been seen by more than 80 million people. There are currently 10 productions of the Disney show across the world and it has been translated into seven languages, reports Broadway World.
