Target (NYSE:TGT) announced plans to close down a number of stores next year.

Which target stores are closing

2015 will be the last in which 13 of the retailer’s locations will operate as they will close on Jan. 30, 2016. “The decision to close a Target store is not made lightly,” Target spokeswoman Kristy Welker said.

Here are the 13 Target locations that will no longer be with us starting next year:

  • 1. Austin North East (Austin, Texas)
  • 2. Suncoast Pasco County (Odessa, Fla.)
  • 3. Casa Grande, Ariz.
  • 4. Victorville, Calif.
  • 5. East Flint (Flint, Mich.)
  • 6. Columbus Southwest (Columbus, Ohio)
  • 7. Northridge (Milwaukee, Wis.)
  • 8. Superior, Wis.
  • 9. Springfield, Ohio
  • 10. New Ulm, Minn.
  • 11. Ottumwa, Iowa
  • 12. Anderson, Indiana
  • 13. Dixie Highway (Louisville, Ky.)

Target assessed the projected long-term financial return from each of these locations and decided that they weren’t profitable at the end of the day.

TGT stock is down 1.04% Wednesday.
