Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

apple-rumors-4-inch-iphone-video-aaplBill: A California bill pertaining to encryption could spell trouble for Apple (AAPL), reports 9to5Mac. The bill in California calls for all smartphone makers to place backdoors in their deices. This would allow them to break a device’s encryption without a password. AAPL doesn’t include backdoors in its devices in an effort to enhance the privacy of its users. If passed into law, the bill would make it so that anyone who bought a device that didn’t have a backdoor, such as the iPhone, would face a $2,500 fine.

Display: A new patent granted to Apple shows a possible concept for wraparound displays, AppleInsider notes. The patent details a system where a display would be placed around a device to offer a 360-degree screen. It’s unknown how exactly the company would use this tech or if it will ever be implemented. A picture that accompanies the patent shows a tube-like device with a wraparound display that has many of the same buttons and ports on it that current mobile devices made by the company have. It also mentions app support for a device that has a display that wraps around it.

Video: What is claimed to be a video of the rumored new 4-inch iPhone has been posted online, reports International Business Times. The video was posted to YouTube and it shows off what could be the company’s upcoming iPhone 6c. The device in the video shares a similar appearance with the iPhone 6s and 6S plus, including the camera bump and white antenna bands. The device is never powered on and isn’t shown next to one of the company’s current generation of smartphones. It’s possible that this could be a prototype version of the new 4-inch iPhone.
