Apple Rumors Motor Noises Apple Car AAPLProcessor: Apple (AAPL) has reportedly named Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) as the sole provider of iPhone 7’s processor, reports MacRumors. TSM likely secured the deal with AAPL due to its 10-nanometer manufacturing process. However, it also manufacturers processors that are more efficient and don’t use as much battery life. This was discovered when the iPhone 6s was revealed to have processors from two different company’s and TSM’s was slightly better than the ones provided by Samsung (SSNLF). The chip included in the iPhone 7 will likely be called the A10.

Watch: A new patent could reveal a possible feature of the Apple Watch 2, International Business Times notes. This patent describes a system in which the Watch 2 would listen for notifications from the iPhone via its microphone. The smartwatch could then turn notification volume up or down depending on the noise around it. This system could also potentially see use in helping the device better listen for Siri commands. Being that this is a patent, it’s unknown if this feature will actually make its way into any of the company’s devices.

Noise: One Sunnyvale, Calif, resident is complaining about noise from Apple’s secret car facility, reports AppleInsider. A resident that lives near the facility complained to the city that there were loud “motor noises” coming from the location at around 11:00 p.m. one night. The resident said that their windows were closed and it could still here the sounds. It’s unknown if this is actually related to the rumored Project Titan, or other machines that are in the area where the car is supposedly being developed.
