Facebook Messenger (NASDAQ:FB) has a fun feature embedded into it that most people don’t know about.
The latest update of the iOS version of the app has more than simply a fix to several bugs it might have. You can now play basketball on Facebook Messenger.
The change log in the app has a feature that reads: “Shoot Some Hoops: Want to see what’s hiding behind the basketball emoji in Messenger? Just send one and tap to find out!”
After activating this feature, you follow a set of directions and voila—you’re playing an arcade-style game of hoops. The game consists of flicking a basketball towards a hoop.
The feature encourages you to do well and it rewards you with emojis and Facebook stickers when you succeed.
All you need to do to start a game is open a Facebook Messenger conversation and send a basketball emoji. Then you tap on the emoji, and the game begins.
FB stock is up 0.3% Friday.
