Walmart (NYSE:WMT) will no longer be carrying Wild Oats products in the near future.
The retail juggernaut announced that it plans on phasing out the organic food brand. Walmart first introduced Wild Oats offerings two years ago.
The deal with private-equity firm Yucaipa Cos. proved to be quite confusing, leading to the company’s decision to cut ties with Wild Oats.
Walmart will look to continue attracting shoppers of organic food in another manner. The company is exploring its options.
WMT stock is down 0.3% Tuesday.
